Shadowland timelapse movie.
Shadowland is the third movie of my Bagan timelapse pentalogy. This 8,5 minute long timelapse journey shows you Bagan during the different light of day. Starting at sunrise and ending at night, this movie takes you along my journey as I explored and captured Bagan inside and out.
The movie is divided in 4 segments, each with their own color style. It starts off with a filtered effect, followed by black & white, next a ‘sepia’ tone (wet plate effect, to be exact), ending with natural colors. Although personally I much prefer the natural colors, I want to show the different moods these colors bring and what they do to a scene. Looking forward to hear what you like most!
Shadowland was never part of the plan, to be honest. At the end I had so much footage left unused, that I couldn’t let it go to waste. It was the perfect time and the perfect project to finally make a movie to the ‘Shadowland’ song by Simon Wilkinson, one of my favourite music composers (www.thebluemask.com). I had been waiting for years to find the right project for this incredible song, so it all came together nicely. Enjoy the trip!
